Three males have been arrested for duping folks by promising life insurance coverage insurance policies to them in Uttar Pradesh’s Noida, the police mentioned in the present day.
The accused have been arrested on Thursday close to Sector 37 roundabout by a joint group of Sector 39 police station and the Cyber Cell, the police mentioned.
They’ve been recognized as Durgesh alias Faizan, a resident of Delhi, Rahul and Padam Saini, each from Ghaziabad, a police spokesperson mentioned.
The accused had duped a number of folks on the pretext of offering them life insurance coverage insurance policies. They might ask folks to switch cash into their account in lieu of the coverage after which vanish,” the spokesperson mentioned.
“Lately, they’d duped a person of Rs 90,000 equally. The person who was cheated approached the police after which the trio was traced and arrested,” the official mentioned.
A case has been lodged towards the accused on the Sector 39 police station below Indian Penal Code part 420 (fraud) and the Data Know-how (IT) Act, the police mentioned.
