Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury alleged BJP politicised Sushant Singh Raput case for Bihar votes

New Delhi:

Congress chief in Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury on Wednesday batted for actor Rhea Chakraborty, saying her arrest below the NDPS Act is “ludicrous” and her father is entitled to hunt justice, the essential tenet of the Structure.

Mr Chowdhury stated a trial by media is an “ominous portent of our judicial system”. “Rhea’s father is a former army officer, served the nation… Justice to actor Sushant Rajput shouldn’t be interpreted as a justice to a Bihari,” Mr Chowdhury stated.

“Rhea’s father can also be entitled to demand justice for his children, trial by media is an ominous portent for our judicial system. Justice for all is without doubt one of the fundamental tenets of our Structure,” the Congress chief tweeted.

He stated Mr Rajput was an Indian actor, however the “BJP turned him right into a Bihari actor, solely to attain electoral brownie factors”.

“Rhea Chakraborty has been indicted neither for abetment of suicide nor homicide nor any financial offences, she has been arrested below the NDPS, ludicrous. To please the political masters, central companies have performed their roles…” Mr Chowdhury stated.

After three days of interrogation, the Narcotics Management Bureau (NCB) on Tuesday arrested Ms Chakraborty, 28, in an alleged medicine case linked to Mr Rajput’s loss of life, following which she was despatched to judicial custody by an area courtroom.

She was shifted to Byculla jail in Mumbai right this moment after the NCB stated it didn’t need her custody.
