An “American spy” arrested close to Venezuelan oil installations final week might be charged with “terrorism,” Lawyer Common Tarek William Saab introduced Monday.
Venezuela introduced the arrest on Friday, saying the person had been spying on two oil refineries when he was captured with money and weapons.
Seven Venezuelan residents have been arrested in follow-up raids over the weekend, Saab mentioned.
“All of the Venezuelan residents are going to be charged with the crimes of treason, terrorism, illicit site visitors of weapons and affiliation (to commit crimes), whereas the US citizen goes to be charged with terrorism, illicit site visitors of weapons and affiliation,” Saab instructed state tv.
