The procurement of ”PR-126” number of paddy will begin from September 27 in Haryana, a senior official stated right here on Saturday.
Extra Chief Secretary, Meals, Civil Provides and Client Affairs Division, P Okay Das, stated that the ”PR-126” number of paddy has been harvested by farmers in 4 districts of Kurukshetra, Karnal, Ambala and Kaithal. Farmers of those districts have introduced their crops to the mandis.
He stated that about four lakh quintals of paddy has arrived within the mandis of those 4 districts and whereas contemplating the inconvenience being confronted by farmers, the state authorities has ready a programme to start out procurement from Sunday itself.
He stated that satisfactory preparations have been made by the procurement businesses together with Hafed, Haryana State Warehousing Company and Meals, Civil Provides and Client Affairs Division in order to make sure hassle-free procurement.
Mr Das stated that the gate go being issued by the Haryana State Agricultural Advertising and marketing Board to farmers for coming to the mandis is being verified by means of the workers of the market committee.
