Three youths have been drowned within the Ganga river on Monday once they went to take bathtub in it on the event of Somwati Amawasya, the police stated.
The incident occurred on the Panchal Ghat of the river.
“Regardless of a ban on taking bathtub in river Ganga, put in place resulting from outbreak of COVID-19, Vishal (28), Pradeeep (17), Parvinder (18) and Umesh Chandra went to take a dip. The 4 began drowning immediately as that they had ventured into deep water. Umesh was saved by a boatman, however the three others have been drowned,” stated Metropolis Justice of the Peace Ashok Kumar Maurya.
The victims’ our bodies have been despatched for the autopsy, he stated, including their relations have been knowledgeable.
