Jaipur:
Practically 32 kg of gold value over Rs 15 crore was seized from 14 passengers who arrived in Jaipur in two chartered flights from the UAE and Saudi Arabia, officers stated on Saturday.
“The gold bars/bricks had been hid in baggage and had been recovered by a customs division group on the Sanganer airport on Friday,” a press launch stated.
Eleven passengers from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, had been carrying gold bars weighing 22.65 kg, whereas three passengers from the UAE had 9.three kg gold with them, it stated.
The entire worth of the gold is Rs 15.67 crore, the discharge stated, including the gold has been seized underneath the Customs Act and the passengers are being interrogated.
