A high IPS officer in Karnataka suffered a bullet harm when his service revolver went off ”unintentionally” whereas he was cleansing it at his residence on Wednesday, police stated.

Dr RP Sharma, serving because the Director Normal of Karnataka Police Housing Company, had been admitted to a non-public hospital with a bullet harm in his neck, they stated including his situation was steady.

“He has given in writing that it was as a consequence of unintentional fireplace whereas cleansing the revolver,” Bengaluru police commissioner Kamal Pant advised PTI.

The officer gave the assertion to the investigating police crew that the bullet bought fired by mistake when he was cleansing his service revolver at his residence in Kothnur locality within the metropolis, police stated.
