Bamako, Mali:
Mutineering troopers in Mali on Tuesday detained President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita and Prime Minister Boubou Cisse, one among their leaders stated.
“We are able to inform you that the president and the prime minister are beneath our management,” the chief, who requested anonymity, instructed AFP.
He added that the pair had been “arrested” at Keita’s residence within the capital Bamako.
Earlier, troopers launched a mutiny from the close by garrison city of Kati.
One other army official, who additionally declined to be named, stated the president and prime minister have been in an armoured automobile en path to Kati.
